eBay is just another commodity exchange.

People buy now to resell later.   Few buy there for actual need or use these days.

I emailed H&R last week and they said they are out of the 357's (So I guess it is "rare" all of a sudden!). They said that another batch is due in ~8 weeks, but no news as to if they will be extractor or ejector. One can only hope (For ejector, that is).

I emailed the seller - He says it's an extractor bbl. I suppose it might be worth $136 to some if there were no need to send your gun in for fitting and waiting. I see that there is one bid...

H&R can be out of any barrel at any time, they've been out of just about every caliber at one time or another. The .357 mag barrel was extinct at one time until about a year ago when they made another run of 100, they have since sold all them and apparently revived it as a regular. They won't be making any more ejector barrels, they've made that pretty clear, but we can always hope.

The ejector underlug is different than the extractor underlug, don't think one will work with the other without some major machining changes.

I've been looking at NEF/H&R centerfire rifle barrels on ebay for several months and I don't recall any selling LESS than a new barrel from NEF/H&R including fitting and shipping charges, the way some people shop makes no sense at all.

It gets even better 51.99 plus 10.00 shipping for a 12 ga barrel with the forarm but the stud to bolt the forarm on was missing , i wonder if they tossed in a hose clamp to hold the forarm on with

I loooove e-bay.  This past winter I decided to dump my .223 barrel and get a new .204 Ruger (sorry guys a CZ).  Anyway I sold my 22" heavy barrel complete with scope rail and forend (no screw) for $141.50 plus shipping.  Couldn't be happier about e-bay  only my 2nd sale but better than what I could have done anywhere else.
I must be crazy.

Masking tape!  You guys are living "High on the hog".  All I've ever used is friction tape.  In fact they don't even make friction tape anymore so that'll make your barrel even more rare!  :)

there is a 7x64 on EBAY now also, with brass and dies.  The last time I watched on of those, it went for close to 250 I think.

Don't knock the 310 Tong Tool!  I use it almost exclusively unless I have to full-length resize.  I have dies for .30-30, .30-06 and .308.  If I could find 310 dies for the .35 Whelen I would get that barrel in a heartbeat!

There is just something about sitting at the dining room table after clearing the dishes and rolling a box of cartridges.....

Hi  Winter Hawk,

Actually I love the 310.  I am now using it for the 22 Hornet, 7.65x53 mauser, 8mm mauser, and when I get the new die set the 7.62x39.

I do use a separate priming system and if I am loading more than 20 cartriges then I will move the final Bullet seating step to a regular press.

For the depriming neck sizing and expanding are much quicker in the 310 than in a regular press unless a progressive is used.

If you know someone who is good with a lathe,  Then have a spacer/extender made for your handles and use a 35 rem or 358 winchester die set.  It's the really odd thread size that is hard to reproduce.
