Has anyone tried on of these scopes?  I'm thinking about getting a 3-9x40 or the 2-7x33.  Both have the 30mm tube.  They are supposed to be comparable to the VX-II line with the multi-coat 4 lens system.

Just wondering.

Thanks,

Josh
My wife once made the mistake of telling me "all of your guns look alike"...No, I've had this gun for a long time! LOL

I bought a 2-7 euro 30 for my dads 35 whelen. I was very impressed with it.  It was one of the nicest hunting scopes I have ever used.  I've always been very impressed with the 2-7 leupolds as one of the best all around hunting scopes and this was even better than the 1" version.

i just bought one for my .308.  anxious to try it.  it has the German 4 in it.  it is essentially three heavy posts and the top post is thin.  makes target acquisition easy.  i am impressed by the clarity and light gathering ability of the scope.  i'd say the light gathering of this scope tops that of my Nikon Monarch 6.5 to 20X.  also, the magnification of the Euro is suitable on deer sized targets out to about 200 yards.  the adjustments are 1 cm clicks at 100 m.  this is about 0.4 inches at 328 feet.  so this is about .35 inches at 100 yds.  not the finest scale, but is well within minute of deer.
