Un-Assimilating Immigrants Are a Problem Too...

...not just in America, but everywhere.  The facts are out there, and there is nothing wrong with being upset about this kind of immigration as well.

Mind you, the article brings up an interesting point.  The example presented here is Germany.  Germany invited many gastarbeiters, that is, guest workers (sound familiar?) from Turkey.  They are now wishing they hadn't, as they are now in a tight bind because of it.  This article presents a very real foretaste of what is to come in the U.S. with the current politics at work.  Read it thoroughly.

Thanks for this. That's an interesting point that no one is debating in detail. Let's think about this: How well would someone do in the USA if he/she was rasied under a foreign government that did not believe in clear rights to private ownership as its economic foundation? A realistic question, since in a dictatorship, the dictator owns everything. Likewise, communist countries do not allow private ownership (unless you're in the upper echelon of The Party). In both of these examples, potential immigrants would have the expectation that their fortunes and rights originate from government, instead of innate rights and the rule of law.

Dumping millions of these people into our country without any kind of trial of fitness would have obviously dangerous consequences.

By not assimilating "groups" become exactly that, "GROUPS".  Not Americans with American idealogy. Then the Politicians use those GROUPS against one another.  A simple example is whats happening now even with people born and raised here.  Look at how the African American vote goes.  Look at how the Politicions are catering to get the Hispanic, legal and illegal, vote. (Oh yes, I SAID ILLEGAL vote, LOOOOTTTTSSS are registered in SoCal. Ask  Bob Dornan.)

We are supposed to be a "melting pot" not a "multicultural" society.  Proof is the way things worked out up to around 25 years ago when the country started seriuosly showing sharp divisions.  Look at the race and cultural baiting used all the time now. Any complaints, YOU ARE A RACIST. Closing the borders isnt security, its racist.

History shows that with out common language and common culture, a society cannot stand. Lincoln's  "a Nation divided against itself cannot stand" is no cliche'. ITS TRUE!!

It takes generations for folks too assimulate, lose their ties to a father/mother land from whence their ancestry. Too expect immediate results  is, at best, frustrating.
I have respect for culture, we all bring that along the line and pass it on.
What we are really asking for, and expect (in my opinion), is for those who would choose to come among us is to have like desires for theirownselves and their heritage.
These desires should be that where they were did not offer all the personal freedoms and personal determinations needed for them to flourish. This country has, to this point, made these opportunities possible.
It carries with it moral and personal responsibilities. You can if you will but there is failure and personal responsibility for actions involved.
The failures are acceptable with the knowledge that there is more than one opportunity for success. Responsibility is not as common as once but it is intergral and a learning tool for improvement.
If you wish to come to this country and bring with you the hope that you can convert this nation too the type you left, I would think we can ask you to go back.
Blessings
