Got another!!!!!
« on: April 04, 2006, 05:39:29 AM »
My gun dealer found a used FA83 454 field grade with 7 1/2 inch magnaported barrel with leupold mounts with a burris scope for a pretty good deal at the Tulsa gun show this weekend..  That makes two now.  My collection is getting better.  Now I need a 44.  Had to tell someone b/c my wife doesn't share the excitement as I do.

Sounds nice. Isn't it funny how the wives just don't get exited about our guns.

Wife's and guns, that brings up a forum that would allway's have new posts added to it.

I am a serios Freedom Arms collector/shooter. I have collected/traded/shot them for almost 20 years. Any time I find a new gun to add to my arsenall the wife comes up with other things to spend said money on. That is why it is allways a good idea to have a personal stash, they know nothing about. Believe me in this also, once you aquire over 5 of the same type of gun, they have no idea on many you had the last time they looked in the safe. Funny how that works with them.

The Freedom Arms Revolvers that I mainly collect are the ones that Freedom offered with wood presentation cases. They are very hard to find, are very well made cases, and interiors.

Well, let me first say Freedom Arms has the best customer service period!!  Well you guys know I picked up used FA in 454 from my gun guy who bought it for me at the Wannamaker show in Tulsa, OK.  I got the gun and bought some factory to shoot and the cylinder would not rotate all the way around with loaded ammunition, fine when empty( the cylinder).  So I called FA and spoke to John and I told him that I had bought the gun used so I don't know its history.  He told me to send the cylinder in and he would look at that to see if that was the problem.  He payed for the return shipping all I was out was the shipping there.  Unfortunately, that didn't fix it so he told me to send him the whole gun.  He promptly got the gun and called me to tell me the previous owner had dryed fired it to much and broke a bushing.  Anyone he fixed that  and sent  it back.  Great people to deal with.  I will buy another FA just because of the great customer service and that is not taking into effect that  this is without a doubt the most accurate revolver I have ever shot!!!!!!
I mounted a bushnell 3200 elite on top in a leupold mount and shot it yesterday with factory 300 grain winchester.  WOW,  I was not trying to shoot great groups just get it close at 50 yds.  This gun shot about 1-1/2 groups consistently.  I am very impressed with this gun.  Just thought I would let you know.  Freedom Arms is a great gun from an even better company to deal with.
