Cleaning and Lubricating the Model 750/7400
« on: May 20, 2006, 07:50:17 AM »
Other than keeping the chamber and bore clean what else(and how often) should I be doing to keep my rifle operational? Does anyone strip the whole unit down and if so how? Never owned a semi before.

Thanks

Stripping down the 750 seems rather easy a screw up front on the forarm gets you to the spring while the two pins on the receiver get you to the trigger mec. With my bar i always stripped it down about every 100 rounds . The main thing is not to over lube and i like to store with the muzzle down i was told to use the chamber brush as discribed by remington and was also told that synthectic oils will not gum up. I myself just use the Hoppes #9and have never had any problems .(used it on my BAR for three years with never a jam) Most problems with jamming is guys tend to over lube. Keep it dry. Later Tanoose
