After hearing about all the great accuracy most are having with the swiss k31 I been looking for a so/so condition one to scope for my long range target rifle over building a 308/98k mauser setup right now. I hope the 7,5mm swiss performs as great as everyone says it does. I figure its close to a 308 in performance i haven't looked at the ballastics yet. I'm interested in staying between the 140gr to 150gr bullets. I'm looking to shoot 100, 200, 300, 400 & 500+ and it should shoot better than i can at least i think so anyway. I have a swiss k31 with no owners tag under the butt plate thats my victum. I won't use a swiss k31 with an owners tag. My only problem is they look so great after refinishing and even the fair condition ones look like excellent condition ones when i'm done that i hate to touch them but i have to pick one soon.
I have heard that some of these may need only a touch up on the crowning if there not too accurate.
Do you guys think the 7,5mm compares in ballastics to the 308 to go with the 7,5mm over the 308win/nato? Any input? I haven't touched anything yet......... I'm looking for bragging rights at the range when it out shoots everything.
Aim Surplus has priv-partizan ammo in military calibers and its yugo boxer primed brass too. Its cheaper to buy the priv-partizan 7,5mm swiss and shoot it once to get the brass to reload rather than buy the expensive new brass.
