Amazing NEF trigger pull
« on: June 07, 2006, 05:24:07 PM »
Was just reading thru the Timney Triggers site and wondering what my brand new NEF .410 might have for a trigger pull.

Got the gauge out and checked it three times. Each time it broke even at the same:  40oz/2.5#.

That's amazing for an El Cheapo .410 brand new from the box.
While at it, checked my 1972 model Sako .223 with thousands thru it and it's a real nice pull I think:  even 2#/32oz.

I'm not a warm breath trigger pull type guy. anything less than two pounds it TOO light for me and can be dangerous.

Just wanted to share this info with the rest on here.

I just got a Wild Turkey Federation H&R 12ga, and it's got an excellent trigger too. Almost as good as my centerfire SB-2's.
 Though I haven't measured them for exact.
For my shotguns I don't want a hair trigger on them. 2-3lbs is good.
But for my hunting and especially my target rifles I want it L..O..W
