here's a couple of the pedersoli rocky mountain hawkin in maple and walnut the maple one is us $845 and the walnut one is us$650.i think i would spend the extra $195 and get the maple one. plus the maple one is browned on the barrel and furnature is coular cased .the walnut is blued barrel. the spec's are below the pic's

Halfstock w/ Hawken style cheeckpiece. Satin finish. 32 3/4" length. 3 1/4" drop with 13 3/4" trigger pull. Caliber is .54, browned 34 11/16" octagon barrel w/ 1" flats. Hook breech and broached rifling .011" deep. 1 in 65" twist. 7 land - .540 and 7 grooves - .562. Front sight - blued steel base w/silver blade, 3/8" dovetail. Rear sight - blued steel buckhorn open style w/push elevator, 3/8" dovetail. Percussion #11 cap. Features color casehardened furniture. Double set/double phase trigger. Recommended load 80 grains of 2F powder, .530 round ball with .015 patch. Manufactured by Pedersoli/Italy

gary they are nice i have shot one they are very accurate they balance well ,very nice gun to shoot.have you got the great plains riffle yet.

No,I haven't bought the GP yet.Just been too much going on
to get to WM to order it.Maybe next week I can get over
there and get the kit ordered.Finding some time to put it
together will be another matter ;)
Those rocky mountain rifles sure do look nice though.

Very nice.I've heard very good things about
their rifles,but have yet to see one up close.
Maybe next year,for this year I think I'll build
the GP the way I want it.Nice rifle ya' have
there though ;)

I have a 54 Tryon.  With 50 grains of 3f and a medium patch lubed with moose milk, it will put five in one big hole at 50 yds when bench rested.  It is one of my keepers.

I also have one of their 10 guage shotguns that I use in competition.  It shoots better than my duck gun and is a pleasure to shoot.  I have never seen an outdoor show where people use bp shotguns to get their ducks or pheasants.  I guess because bp shotguns won't shoot 250 yards and don't carry a scope like those almost-a-rifle/shotguns they feature nowdays.

OH!  I thought it looked kinda' like the one I forgot to clean, it turned white at the end of the muzzle too.  I knew you'd never let something like that happen thereby my question.  Thanks.  ;)
