Depends on the area.. private land here is very expensive.. although all the BLM and National Forest land is huntable for FREE!! Here in Western Wyoming, the river bottoms/pasture grounds are all privately owned by big ranches , and have a few whitetail deer.. but most of the game is on BLM or Forest. We have a one year residency requirement, so you have to pay your dues and stay for a year. HTH.. Les
