AK-47 Screw in trigger/hammer axis pins
« on: May 31, 2006, 11:33:40 PM »
Hi folks,
A month or so back, I ran into hammer and trigger axis pins for the AK that had, if I remember right, a head on one side, and a screw that went into the other side. This was to eliminate the dreaded shepherds hook I assume. Unfortunately, I didn't bookmark it at the time, as I was in a rush to find another part.

I have an AK that was either poorly heat treated, or had the holes drilled too large to start with. The pins had been rotating and have worn the holes in the frame a bit loose. All the trigger group is still within safe specs, but I need to find a way to keep the pins from rotating any further.

I've seen the B-Square (I believe it was) receiver scope mount that installs through the axis pin holes and screws into the other side of the mount. I have one like it on my Remington 870 shotgun. I really don't want to use that though, if there are pins that do the same thing without having a scope mount blocking my sights.

Does anyone know who might be selling those? It had to be one of the more common gun accessory shops online. I've tried every search I can think of, and I've hit every site I thought might be the one.
