the uniform division is using them on the grounds of certian houses! CAT TEAM, well you can only guess. Some of us KNOW.

there maybe a also a few deployed with field agents. and posible a few with  protection units

hk mp5  26.77 OAL

M-4  with a 10.5 inch  barrel  stock ran out to first click per proper OPS
you get a weapon that 26 OAL I know Im looking at mine now

Seems to me, that a high velocity round that explodes on impact is exactly what you would want.  Can't imagine why anybody would use FMJ / hardball unless in combat which requires it by convention/treaty.

Not really,  You  want a round that is going to give at least 8-10inches of penetration, that is were the  60 grain and up load's  really shine rememebr we need to get through  layers of heavy clothing and reach to vitals   i personally use the either 62 winchester psp load
 the 75-77 grain Bh/hornaday loads

and some from federal.    
 we also may have to shoot through some type of intermeditate barriers as well
