Been thinking about a new .30 lately. Kind of torn between an 06 and WM.
Came across a CZ Mod 3 chambered in 300 WSM and bought it. Never been a WSM fan but the advertised velocity suits me.
Rifle shoud be here towards the end of the week or early next. Picked up a set of dies and brass. Will see what happens.

Well, just what happened?  The only test I did last fall was crono Hornady 150 SST's with AA-4350 powder.  69 grains gave 3290fps over the cronograph 10 yards away.  Very good accuracy too, 5 shots into 1.1" from a Weatherby Vanguard.  I believe it will do better, as the gun was brand new.  Got me two deer with that combo last fall, a little overkill but hey, I'm eatin' 'em.
I aim to please - but often miss.

I finally got the rifle.
Mounted a scope and fed it some handloads.  The scope has a Ger#1 and is not suited for precicion groups but the rifle seems to shoot well so far.
The rifle itself feels unfamiliar to me.  It's gonna take a few more dates 8)

Killdeer,

How do you like that gun??????? I can pick one up from a gun shop for a little over cost. Awesomeeeeeee looking and feels nice.

It's been calling my name when I'm sleeping. Just never heard much about them.

I like it alot and would buy another in a heartbeat. The only downside would be if you prefer a lightweight rifle. I happen to shoot heavier rifles better especially when the adrenaline is pumping.
The trigger came with a very light pull and suits me fine.
Most shoot the lighter bullets in a WSM but I shoot the 200s/180s and for me the velocity is just right. I have a feeling these 200 Gr. Accubonds will shoot well a long ways.

If it's calling your name in the night, ya gotta go with your gut.
It's actually made by Montana Rifle Co. and stocked by the American Walnut Co. With CZs name on it.
