savage 358 barrel
« on: March 30, 2006, 03:25:54 PM »
Hi guys, was wondering what a new unfired savage 99F barrel would be worth,it has not been on a rifle, or fired.it has a couple of light rust spots on the outside, bore as new.Barrel has been stored for a long time. Was purchased from Savage but never put on a gun.
Any  clues to what its worth????
Thanks guys. :D

someone must have a clue to what it might be worth,I know that a whole gun 99 savage in 358 is worth alot more than other calibers. You could turn your 99 into a 358 by changeing the barrel??
Barrel must be worth more than a 308 barrel, right.
thanks :D

I'm not sure what the value would be because I haven't found one. If you figure out what you need on it, let me know.  I am looking to rebarrel a 300 Savage I have.

A collector will say that a rebarrelled gun is not worth the same as a factory model supplied in that caliber. I am looking for a barrel to set up a good shooter. I view the 358 as a great deer/bear load at reasonable distances.

Ammunition is a little more challenging to get but the round is a fine one in my eyes. If you want to sell it, figure out a price and let me know how I can get in contact with you. :-)

Is it square thread or triangle thread :? .  2 Months ago I saw one at a gun shoe for $85, it was triangle and my receiver is squre.
