Thanks for fixing the picture instructions! I attempted to upload several pictures but was only able to get one to upload so here it is.
1/2 scale 2" bore seamless tubing w/1018 breechplug/powder chamber.
I have pics of the parts before welding and will attemp to upload later.

Why did you make a liner in a steel barrel?
Should have just reground your tooling to chamber.

Not sure of your question? I didn't make a liner I machined the powder chamber into the breech plug which was pressed/welded into the barrel then was caped with the cascabel plate. If I can figure out how to download more pictures you will see the details.

This picture thing is starting to not be worth the effort!!!!!!

MSN won't let link pictures from their sight. You can only use URL's from them.

Look at the software you are using with your camera for a way to resize the photo. Photo's can't be larger than 800 x 600 pixels to be uploaded to the My Hosted Pics free image hosting.

Also copy the line of code from My Hosted Pictures called BB code and paste it in your post. Don't use the HTML code it's not intended for this board. You do not have to click on the IMG button at the top of the reply window as the code is already supplied from My Hosted Pictures.

That is a neat little firing mechanisim you've built there. Nice and simple. Does it attach to the nipple or does if fly off after the lanyard is pulled? And Please keep posting pictures! It is worth it to us.

I couldn't stand it any more, I went in and edited the HTML links and changed them to BB code. If you copy codes from My Hosted Pics use BB codes don't use HTML it makes the pictures to wide.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words!! As for the answers to the questions: The wheels are slightly overscale @ 24" and were purchased from Hansen's Wagons in South Dakota. They are really well made. The firing mech. uses a musket cap that is placed on the nipple and the spring loaded assembly locks on with a 1/4 turn machined slot. If you enlarge the picture you can see the slot machined in the body. The cannon is already heavy enough that it doesn't move when the pin is pulled. As for learning the metal working skills, that came from 35 years in the race car/motorcycle fabrication business and the wood working skills I'm still aquiring since turning the business over to my son. As for my picture posting skill that sucks but I'll keep at it. I have alot more detail shots and will continue to take pictures as I add components.
The biggest help was someone replying to my request for drawings informing me about Antique Ordnance. I bought everything on the Mountain Howitzers which will save me alot of time fabricating the hardware. All the basic dimensions were obtained up till now by scaling off of pictures which is very time consuming.
Well it's time to stop talking and start making parts.
