200 troubles, how long to repair?????/

I bought a Stevens 200 in late January of this year. Would not feed or eject properly. Took it back to the dealer in the middle of February. He had it for awhile. Said he could do nothing for it. He sent it back to Savage. I have not seen my 200 since. How long does this sort of thing take?
Not to mention the fact that a Super Sling ($20), mounts/rings ($25), and an older scope (value now is roughly $100) was attached to the rifle the last time I saw it. I have doubts I'll ever see them again (just a gut feeling).

call savage and find out if they received it. then ask how long it will take.
was yours a .243 btw?
mine was and i had a problem with feeding also...when i pushed the bolt forward o chamber a round, the cartridge would flip right out of the gun.

mine had to do with me not pushing the round far enough back. it needed to touch the bolt face when in the magazine and then it fed just fine.
odd, i know.
make some calls and see what's going on.

If he's any kind of dealer at all he should have known to take your sling and mounts and scope off a gun before sending it back

just a note
anytime you leave a firearm with a gunsmith you should take all the goodies you can off it. to many things can and do happen to them.

You said "He sent it back to Savage."
Do you know this to be true or is it just "what he said". My guess is that any competent gunsmith could correct this problem in ten minutes.
