Midway has the small limbsaver on sale if anyone needs one, this is the size that fits NEF/H&R stocks.

I would like to put one of these on my 38-55 target rifle. It has the curved metal butt plate. Do you think it would work with the curved butt, or would I have to cut the stock flat on the end?

The small slip on fits the BC/Target butt stock, but not very well, it's ok for bench work but it's loose enough that it wouldn't work well for field use. The other choice would be to cut the stock off square and fit it.

The Galco small slip on would be a better choice, it fits better, but is expensive.
