That is the one I want but funds a nill. Had been saving and looking for a short SBH now they make it and surgery took all my funds. Such is life! Ugh by the way those grips look cool!

It's really sweet looking.  I'm considering one if they end up doing one in .45 Colt.  Not really interesting to me in .44 Mag. at this point.

I've been looking at that one, a .44 Special Bisley 4 5/8" and a .44 BFR "Shorty".  Sold my big rifle one day, I was happy as a clam...and car went south the next...never fails does it?  At least the car has been paid off and hasn't ever been in the shop for the last 11 years except when a semi ran over the back of it.  So, can't complain...just start saving pennies again. ::)   Anybody gets one, be sure to wring it out and tell us about it.

     No doubt a fine handgun, but I just don't see the appeal.
 
     It looks bulky and characterless, like a part off of a tractor.

I like the looks of it. My 4 5/8s version sure doesnt look blocky and tractor like. If ruger wanted to make my dream 44 mag they would just have to make up some aluminum bisley frames and fit one to that gun!

Better reaction to that photo than the porn photo in the email I received.  I guess I will have to look into that revolver as I don't have one, yet.  Just had to show it off off didn't ya!!  ;)

I would call it business like and it has lots of appeal one being handy like a hand gun should .

I've been a fan of the .45 Colt for years but it isn't near the cartridge the .44 Magnum is in a 6 shot revolver.

It can't push the same heavy weight bullets quite as fast as the .44 Magnum.  I wish it could.  It's a great round and nearly the equal of the .44 Magnum.

Yeah, the nice thing about the 44 mag is that it was made for speed and power. I can run a 240 gr JHP in my 45LC Ruger over a load of 28.0 gr of H110 to 1532 fps. The same weight bullet in a 44 Mag over a load of 24.5 gr Lilgun is running 1582 fps. I believe whatever critter you shot with either would be in a world of hurt and probably wouldn't know the difference. Just a case of which caliber each of us prefer. If I didn't reload and shoot Rugers I would also go with the 44 mag. Have owned probably 5 or 6 in my life. Rugers, S&W's and one Hawes.

Very nice bunch of 44's. I reckon you showed me yours so I'll show you my 45's. The Encore has a 20" 45 LC barrel from MGM. By the way, you're a lot more artistic than me with pictures. Mine are just laying on the bed.

I did have a 4 5/8 stainless Blackhawk in 45 LC but gave it to my adopted son as a birthday present. Have seen another for sale in a local by/sell/trade magazine but keep talking myself out of it. I play with the Vaquero more than the rest except during deer season and then the Encore and I hang out together a lot. The Redhawk is my hog hunting sidearm and the scoped SBH Hunter is my morning and mid day deer hunting handgun when I have a shorter shot.
