I bought a NEF .17 hmr  Sportster and I was Wondering if there is any different barrels with bigger calibers like .270? I like it as a .17 hmr, but i was wondering if it could also have larger rounds.  Thank you

The sportster only comes in rimfire rounds , The 22 Lr 22 mag 17 HMR and 17M2 . If you want anything larger you need to go with the handi rifle .

The sportster frame has an offset firing pin that will not work with centerfire rounds and the frame would not handle the pressures of a centerfire anyway .

By the way , Welcome to the crazy world of H&Rs and GBO  :D

Welcome to GBO!  The only other barrels that can be fitted to the 17Hmr Sportster frame are other rimfire calibers, 17M2, 22Lr and 22Mag. Besides the rimfire firing pin location being wrong for centerfire calibers, centerfire rifle calibers require an SB2 frame, the Sportster uses an SB1 frame which isn't as strong.
