Paint synthetic stock?
« on: July 14, 2006, 03:57:08 AM »

I just bought an green/black Mossberg 835.  The receiver is black, the stocks and bbl are green.

I can paint the barrel, but can I paint the stocks?  I'd like an all-black gun.

Just wondering if I can paint it, or do I need to buy a new black synthetic 835 stock and forearm.

On Jeeps, way back when, the plastic dash pieces came in one color - tan.  Spray paint to make it black, if that was the interior color of your Jeep.

Wondering if I could do the same w/ the green plastic, and save some $$ for shells.  :-)

here is one option;

Plastics are normall painted with two component urethanes in general industry (all your plastic car parts) like a dupont IMRON. You would want a flat color obviously.
