.35 rem guide gun

Anybody have any experience with the Marlin .35rem guide gun? I bought the .45/70 version when it first came out. I really like the short lever actions. Nice to carry in the U.P. swamps and thick stuff.

hey pal I saw one once there a sweet gun if when you pick up your bullets im home Ill show you a cute little .35 marlin that I made up myself. Its a ball to shoot. Those marlin 35 guide guns are hard to find and expensive when you do. If I could find one reasonable Id snatch it up in a hurry!

I've had mine for a while now and love it.  Light and handy to carry.  I've got less than 20 rnds though it but am more than happy with it's performance.   To find out more check out the "336 Discussion" area @ www.marlinfirearms.com/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi .  Do a search and you'll find quite abit of info on them.

Made my own.  Came across an old one with no finish at my local gun store.  Picked it up for $150.  Then sent it down to my friend Ken Kelly at Mag-na-port.  He cut the 24" bbl to 18", ported and refinished it then installed AO sights and an AO scout mount.  Love it!   Short, light, handy, and a joy to shoot.  It very quickly became my favorite lever action.  Glad to hear that Marlin is doing it.  Everyone who buys one of those should absolutely love it.    44 Man

Glad to here that everybody likes their .35 "Guide Guns."  I got mine out of layaway in December and haven't a chance to shoot it yet - too many other projects ahead of it.  Probably going to mount a Williams Firesight set on it.

It's my first Marlin; love the handiness and quality.  Should've bought one years ago.
