I took my grandson down to the San Diego Maritime Museum, (I figured Boise doesn't have one a THEM! )and found these.
This is from the HMS SUPRISE The cannon is neat. it has a "pan" cast into the top of the breech area so when it fires it is more impressive (Remember, the whole thing is/was a movie set, They say it will take YEARS to get her back to original sailing condition)(THIS CANNON IS A FAKE!!
It is made of fiberglass! (I'm broken hearted))
There was also was a pair of these civil war vets on the deck of the BERKLEY (She's a double end ferry so I can't tell you if the were for'ard or aft) they are made of bronze but look as if they were brass plated (See following photo)
This plate is attached to one napolean's carriage
Note the neat Stainless steel vent liner and the pattern of the plating
I hope to be able to go aboard the suprise soon (when my hip improves or falls off  whichever comes first) and talk to the gunner , assuming they have someone who knows about them.
If anyone wants further pictures of features let me know.(like I need an excuse to go back)
