« on: August 12, 2006, 03:30:23 PM »
I need some help finding a stock for my rifle.

I have a Ruger Stainless M77 Mark II chambered in 300 win mag which came with a hard plastic/rubber stock which is thin near the butt. I found one simillar and posted the link below.

I would like to find a wood stock for the rifle preferably a used one somebody has taken off.

What should I be looking for?

You might also try Boyds if you want a laminated stock.  They have a "lightening cut" which reduces stock weight by about 20oz. when compared to the normal stocks.

I am considerning one of their 'JRS' stocks for my Ruger .300 WM which also has the "canoe paddle" stock.
