Anybody using Cabelas electronic hearing protectors?
« on: November 15, 2005, 07:59:16 AM »
I see that Cabelas has an electronic muff style hearing protector for about $40.  Since all other brands of electronic hearing protectors sell for over $100, I was wondering if the Cabelas are too good to be true.   Does anybody have any experience with the Cabelas product?

I got a pair for Christmas last year and they seem to work.  Of course I have never had a hundred dollar set to campair them to.

I got these about six months ago.  They seem to work just fine, and they fit me pretty well (they completely enclose the ear).  Caldwell is selling the same pair (look at MidwayUSA).  Both Caldwell and Cabela's are private labeling the same company's muffs.

I have the Caldwell from Midway. The sound quality is not what I would label the best in the world but you can hear what is going on around you. Mine are very sensitive and shut off with some minor noises but that is better than not shutting down when needed. I also have not used any of the more costly ones to compair them to.
