Any after market barrels for H&R or Rossi for 6.5X55 swedish ?

I know I know I had decided on a bolt action in the previous forums, but I realised I did need some kind of a .223 rifle along with a 6.5 swedish, so I figured single shot rifles are pretty useful here.  Simply swap the barrels and you have a whole new caliber.

Im looking for a single shot that is capable of having a 6.5X55 swedish and .223 barrel, I know every single shooter has a .223 but I don't see many offering in 6.5   
I know t/c encore has some after market barrels for 6.5, however, its a bit out of my price range

any help would be appreciated

A gunsmith could make you a barrel for a NEF in 6.5x55 if he knows his stuff. But it's going to cost way more than an Encore frame/barrel. I'm not aware of any companies specifically making NEF barrels other than the factory. They need to be individually fitted and can't be sold seperately like Contender or Encore barrels. Perhaps you'd like to select a ciliber they make NEFs in, such as 280 or 270? They would be very similar and the cost would be much lower.

Marts Custom was an option for aftermarket H&R barrels, but they went out of business a couple years ago. A rebored .223 barrel would make a nice Swede barrel, but the cost would add $250-$300 to the cost of the rifle. I've had several H&R barrels rebored/rechambered by Wayne York of Oregunsmiting, his 6 groove cut rifling is sweet! He's done a .338-06 A-Square from a 26" .25-06 Ultra for me as well as a .405 Winchester from a .38-55 Target. He's doing a .280AII for me right now.

you know what guys, i did a lot of research, I think T/C encore is a better pick.... the barrels need no fitting work, you just buy em off the internet or the shop and simply swap them.  Isn't that correct ?
