Are 44 mag and 445 mag barrels interchangable?
« on: July 18, 2006, 09:19:01 AM »
I am looking at a 445 mag.   Will the barrels interchange with the 44 mag barrels and frame?
thanks
Doug

Yep. Except for the markings, they should be fine.

the ejector rod cut out in the 44 mag shroud is shorter than the one on the 445sm.  that is the only real difference.  So the 445 shroud will work on the 44, but unless you mill out the slot for the ejector rod in the 44 shroud it will not work on the 445.

Good catch Travis. I was only talking about the barrels. He is correct about that. I was thinking about the time I almost bought a 445 Barrel (and shroud) for my 44 Mag. Sorry for the confusion.
