With my winchester 1300 and 1/1/8oz # 7.5 loads going 1200 and full choke of course. Best day of trap yet. Share your range experience.

Wait until you get to 24...that's when you'll get the shakes!

Happens to me every time.  It's usually 21-22-23-24 then one of those boogers come out of the house and take a hard right...   :x

DANG NAB IT!!!

I've shot 98s from both 20 and 16 yards.  100 straight continues to elude me.  For that matter, so does 75 straight.  I do remember my first 25 straight and first 50 straight though.

25 straight is as far as I've made it. I agree, it's a great feeling.

They just closed the nearest trap range to my house, another victim of urban sprawl.

981tman..
I've just caught this....
I  shot competition trap starting in my early teens into my late twenties. It seems that you might be better with an improved  modified choke instead of a full choke.
Just do a LOT of shooting and some day you will get the 25. It will come when you aren't even thinking about it. You will break that last bird and be reaching for another shell when you realize you just broke 25!
But don't be surprised if you don't get another one for a while. You will get a lot of 24's before you get another 25. Then the 25's will be steady. Soon after you will start to string them together! The 50 comes easy but there is something about the 75 that takes more time..
By this time you can control your score and by trying you can win matches.
Eventually you will know what will win the shoot and you just go out and break them!
I had one shoot that I dropped three targets in the first five and I knew a 97 would win so I just broke all the rest.

My longest one day string was 175 straight..100 in the match and 75 in the shoot offs!

Keep your head down and follow through!

Regards, Jack

Congrats on your 22. Keep after it and the elusive 25 will happen.
