Looking for a cheap scope for a cheap rifle ?

Which one and why. Monarch prostaff or Simmons Master series pro hunter.

have you looked at the bushnell banner scopes. really good scopes really cheap...

Another vote for the Banner. Have several and no problems with any of them.

Are you going to hunt or plink with this gun? If you are hunting, in my opinion you owe it to the animal to make the best shot. Don't skimp on your optics. In all the hunting equipment you can have, the two most important items are, quality optics and a well constructed bullet. JMHO.

I WOULD CHECK OUT MILLET SCOPE (BUCK SILVER)
I HAVE THIS SCOPE ON A 54 CAL. THUNDERHAWK,IT TAKES A POUNDING AND KEEPS ON TICKING.
I THINK THEY GO FOR ABOUT $79.00 BUCKS

Of the two mentioned, I'd probably pick the Nikon Prostaff.  I've got a fixed 4X prostaff on the wife's .243.  Frankly, I'm suprised at how clear the optics are.  Haven't put many rounds through the rifle with the prostaff on, but seems to hold the point of impact just fine so far.

Pro Staff very clear, have a 4x, have 4 or 5 Banners too. All good scopes for the money. Pro Staff better............
