As always, it depends on where you hit it. Don't count on it. Coons are tough to kill. They're big too, and relatively big- boned. Count on the P1 to kill a rabbit instantly, but expect a coon to run off wounded.

Iwould be using it to dispatch coon in traps so i could place the shot presisely where i want it . do you think it will work or should i forget about it ?

I own a P1 and the answer is yes
IF
you hit them just right.
IF
the pellet doesn't deflect and
IF
you use a pellet that will penetrate deep enough. A lot of
IF's
. When I was much, MUCH younger I used to run a trap line as a kid and for dispatching animals in the traps I used a H&R 6" barrel .22 that I used .22 shorts in. Worked every time no matter what the size of the animal and I believe they are quieter than the P1 at full power. Just a though. Lawdog
