I bought a Weaver Classic Rimfire in variable power from Jon at the optic zone.  I am very happy with it.  The optics are very clear and the scope is very well made.  I highly recommend it.

I highly recommend the Mueller APV also, it's designed very close to the Simmons ATV which has a very strong following on rimfire rifles at RFC. The rimfire crowd at RFC was very disappointed when the ATV was no longer available, but the Mueller APV has filled that void very well, and with better specs than the ATV, which was a very fine scope for the money in itself.

If you want a more compact scope, the Weaver rimfires are very nice scopes for about the same money, I have the RV7 2-7x28 variable, a very nice scope also.

I agree, I have two, the 2.5-7 and the 3-9x33 AO
the latter on my Cz452 American, the former on my sons CZ Scout
I am used to Nikon Monarchs, Leupold VXIIIs, etc...
VERY nice 22 scopes

I put a Leupold VxII 2-7x28 on my 10/22.  I am very pleased with it.  I had a nikon 4x on my old one and like the leupold much more.  Lighter, smaller, and extremely clear.

Another vote for the Weaver. I have the 2.5-7 on my Remington 541. It replaced a Leupold fixed 4X that I put on another gun.
