I heard about this story, funny I should find it on 'overlawyered.com'. Note that he was a repeat felon. That tells me he wasn't disciplined enough by his victims to learn a lesson. Now I'm afraid it's too late for this guy. He obviously thinks he's entitled to threaten and rob people without consequences.

i bet that guy is representing himself.  It's much more popular to blame lawyers, but I doubt he's got one.

Of course the AP story is missing all the important details, but staff writer Michael Zeigler, for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, writes:

Also, the two 'defenders' are no longer employed at the AutoZone. I bet AutoZone is the defendant in the suit, because the lawyer would have to be pretty stupid to go after two low-income ex-employees for a settlement.

I know, I know, the "kill all the lawyers" stuff gets old, but my point was about the consequences of defending yourself. That I found the link on 'overlawyered.com' was incidental.
