bullets string up

Got a new 6.8 contender carbine barrel first time out shot about an inch group at 100 yds.
went back this time first two center  then they started stringing up and left.ended up 4 inches high and about 1 inch to the left. Last 3 shots were touching. The scope mount screws were a little lose .
think that was the Problem? Need help

If the scope mounts were loose, that was most likely the problem.  The solution, as you probably know, is Loctite.
