which scope?

i'm looking at getting a new scope for my 30-06 right now its between a leupold vx-1 2x7 or a new weaver k4 or possibly a k6 i mostly hunt elk in timber and deer in the wheat fields. right now i have a bushnell 4x12 (it was a gift) and its to big and i don't like bushnell.

IF you were choosing a higher series in the Leupold I'd say go for that, but in this case go with the Weaver.   Both companies make good scopes 2x7 is a good variable power range.

 You owe it to yourself to go check out a Sightron S1 3x9x40. There are NICE scopes for less than $150. My new sightron blows my leupold rifleman out of the water as far as eye relief and optics clarity goes.
