have you ever been paided a bountie on yote or other varmints? i was paided 20$ to kill some coons.

 Bounty's being paid for predators by state agencies went out a long time ago according to what I've heard. 
I have heard of some bounty's being paid I don't know that for a fact,  just lots of hear say. I have heard some ranchers well pay for some critters that's probable true.
I've always hunted predators for fun not money. If someone wants money to kill predators, go for it. Not much differience between guiding or caping out a critter or bounty hunting, it's all about money  I guess. ???..........Good hunting

I have trapped both coyotes and beaver for bounties.  The ranchers didn't care if you trapped them or shot them or ran over them with a truck.  They paid off per carcass and were glad to be rid of them.

I guess in my case, it was about the money.  I don't think of killing things as "fun".

It's not nice to play with words on the internet, some people could take it wrong. ::) ;D Enjoying something is the same as having fun. :-* If you're a politicaly correct type person, then killing for fun is the wrong word. :-[ But I'm going to use it anyways ;D

I can remember when we had bounty's on cougars in Ore. Also used to get I think it was $15 for a set of coyote ears. Now the bounty's are gone, ya can't run cats with dogs anymore and if you have preditor problem's you call the county trapper, US government, and he comes out. He runs cats with his dogs, shoots coyotes and hogs from an airplane and pretty much goes where he want's! That's government's answer to large land owners that have preditor problem's and don't want you on their land. It also soothes the anti's that don't want preditor's in their backyard but don't mind them in your's! It also create's government jobs that tax payers pay for that help's lower un-employment while costing much more than letting hunting take care of the problem.

Hi Don, Funny how times have changed, Thirty or forty years ago a lot of old country boys made some good money bounty hunting and now a farmer looses his farm for running over a stinking mouse with his tractor. But thats Kalifornia for ya. You can't kill a mountain lion so he eats your kids. Yep sure a lot of changes, Not too sure we are going the right way though. We must have a bunch of high priced Vehicles running up & down the highway driven by a bunch of over paid dudes telling people how to run their business when they can't take care of themselves. oso45-70, California was not always that way. Where do you think the saying SSS came from, I first seen it in Bishop California back in the late 70s.
I also remember bountys being payed for lions in California, $50 for a male and $60 for a female, that was in the 60s and before.
In this modern day World, bounties are not politicaly correct. Politicaly correct came from Arkansas not California ;) ;D

Most the reservation here have bounty's.only the indians can collect the bounty's.and they are GOOD bounty's.one county still has a bounty and you must be a resident of that county to collect.10 bucks a scalp(both ears attached to the scalp.)I have more fun shooting Filthy coyotes then squishing puppys with my bare feet..

Which was the only state that will not allow you to take a rouge lion. Kalifornia is known for it ANTI everything in the world.

KYOTE, As you probably know the Indian Reservations live by a different law than the rest of us do so don't think it should have been brought up as such. It would please me and a few others if you would leave the FILTHY off of the coyotes. I have been taking coyotes since 1948 and find them to be fairly clean in spite of the work they do, Although they don't smell so good.

The Politicaly correct Clintons from Arkansas is who I was talking about.  You know, I didn't have sex with that woman, I didn't inhale etc etc etc. :o The biggest walking talking lie that ever lived, our buddy Bill.
As far as California and the anti everything people there, you have to understand most of them are from somewhere else.
Us native Califorians that could, got out of there. We are waiting for the right time to move back and take our state back from the liberials, just like you New Mexicans that are being attacked from another country. What's happened to California is happening to you guys now. ::) ;D

Could not agree with you more about Mr&Mrs President of Arkansas. I lived in Kalifornia during the world war and the country is great but the laws out there are awful. Yep i fully understand about the problems concerning our neighbors to the south of us. Its not like i live in  box or wear a blindfold. I just hope it will get better. We could use some animal control through out the states but, the best control is by better management of the people" by that i mean let the people in the area control their land" and not depend on Uncle Sam to do the work for them. In my way of thinking the GOV. has no business telling us what we can and cannot do on our own land be it wildlife or range management issues JMHO..........Joe..........

That's why our government wants us older guys that can remember what it use to be like, to die off. That way they can control those that don't know the freedoms they have lost.....

Governments that controled the people were what we use to fight World wars and conflicts over.....

Oso45-70, the big problem is not many people care, they are to busy making money.  When they do start to care it may be to late.

This sure is off the subject lol....Oh well, back to bounty hunting.

and it was brought up about bountys.so why can I not answer?I have friends that hunt them(reservations)..I just have not been able to YET...

I would rather  spend my time hunting the wiley coyote than hang out in bars and its a whole lot cheaper for me as hospital bills can get the best of you, Not mine nessarialy, But stuff does happen you know. I really don't know how we got where we areToday but thats how it goes. I will go real slow here,,,,, The indians can do things on the rez that we would get hung for doing...............Joe..................
