Grizzly ammunition

Just curious if anyone has experimented with Grizzly ammunition.  I've been looking around at the different cartridges they offer and wondered what might be best shooting through a .480 Ruger.  I feel like these bullets are designed for deep penetration, but not sure how well my pistol will shoot them.  I have tried using heavier weight bullets in my deer rifle and had trouble sighting it in at the range.  I just hate to spend $50 on a box of these bullets and not be able to sight the pistol in with them.  I have a Busnell red dot scope on my .480 but not completely satisfied with it.  If my gun were able to shoot the heaviest load, should I go with that or stay with the lighter load?  Thanks.

Have you considered reloading? You will e able to tailor your loads  and be able to shoot more.

Hey DP.......if you are going to shoot the big stuff, you'll have to break down and reload.  Consider it in place of a new gun.  Get  yourself a starter kit with a single stage press and go from there.  Later, you'll end up with all kinds of dies, bullets and other goodies.

If you have a space issue, you can get one of those folding relaoding stands.

Really...it's the only way to go.

Depending on what it is you are shooting; bullets in the 325-440g weight should fill you requirement with room to spare. WFN LBT's at 1050fps in that caliber will impress you with out to much noise or recoi,l and good luck finding an animal that would hold on to one of these by the way.
 If your revolver sights won't adjust far enough down, a taller front sight will help them get down where you need them.
 I'm with you on the bushnell, I busted 2 before I smartened up. From what I hear the ultradot is fantastic even on the .50cals
  Reloading will save you a lot, a real lot, of money. A RCBS starter kit soon pays for it self when you figure the 50 dollar box of factory ammo x how many you practice with.
.480 in a 12" encore now you got me thinking...  good luck and don't forget buffalo bore and garret ammo if your gun doesn't like the grizzlys.
