really big casting ladle
« on: August 07, 2006, 04:30:14 PM »
I've been using a 1 # ladle to cast 2# cannon balls and it leaves lines in the balls, especially when the mold is cooler.

I found this http://www.barlowstackle.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=6&Product_ID=1530&CATID=59 at barlowstackle

An 8 # ladle ... should do the job - $25

Here's some additional ladles sources.   Rowel ladles come in bottom pour. http://www.advancecarmover.com/ladle.html.   and   http://www.bulletmetals.net/ladles.htm

I'll add the Barlow tackle link to the resource list.

Slightly more expensive, but even better.

I just ordered a 4# bottom pour from advancevarmover.com
