Anyone ever broken their ejector? (not the extractor)
« on: August 14, 2006, 12:52:01 AM »
I noticed the other day when I went to clean my gun that the squared-off protuding end of my ejector was gone.  I'm guessing that it had to have happened when I took apart the pistol - I let the recoil spring plug get away from me as I was stripping it.  (That had never happened to me before) The gun functioned perfectly the last time I took it out, I always load from the magazine, my reloads are not "hot" and I never close the slide on an empty chamber.  I guess my biggest question is if this is common?   Or, did I get a bad part in my gun?  Either way it's back to the manufacturer already and I should have it back in 10 days.

I didn't notice any difference in ejection during my last visit to the range, all the brass landed 5 feet to my right and 7 feet behind me.  Gun functioned perfectly.  I had a match the next day so this was pretty frustrating, I didn't want to try it without the ejector so I immediately sent it back to the factory.
