Stuffit has done one on a Handi and a Savage 219.  It seems that I remember he has had some problems with making brass that doesn't split.  Annealing the brass is probably the solution, but it's sort of a pain to do.

The price and availability of dies kinda cooled me on the idea.  Midway has this as the cheapest die set and I think it's a little high.

I guess I would consider using my .223 barrel, if I needed more than what the standard Hornet would provide.

Set up a Handi for my 13 year old grandson in the K-Hornet.   David White did the smithing.   Shoots very well at 3000 fps with Lil'Gun and 45 grainers.  Easier to reload after the fire forming,  and my experience is the case life is much better.  It was a special rifle for a special boy on his first "teen" birthday.   A keeper for sure.

The K-Hornet offere practically no ballistic advandage. Brass will lasts longer.
Annealing, yes it is needed for most brass. Stick with the standard Hornet. If you need more getup and go, get a 223.
