Graf&Sons Swiss 7.5x55 brass
« on: August 17, 2006, 11:07:01 PM »
I don't know if anyone has noticed that Graf & Sons has the PRVI BRASS 7.5x55 SWISS advertised or not but I talked with them and the lady said it could be up to a year getting it in.  I am not sure why they advertise it but don't expect to have it.  ??? ??? ???

Yep, the 7.5 x55 brass has gotten as scarce as hens teeth.  I'm just shooting the GP-11 and waiting for someone to start cranking out the boxer primed commercial brass. I bought the dies but I haven't wanted to reload bad enouth to buy & resize the 284 win. cases yet.  If I need hunting ammo I plan to replace the GP-11 bullets with some 165 gr Sierra GKs.

Last night I ordered 5 boxes of the PRVI loaded ammo from Graf at $11.99 per.  The brass was listed at $33.99 per hundred, but out of stock.  So, for $60.00 I got 100 rounds of loaded ammo and as soon as I shoot it, I will have the brass I need without having to resize the .284 stuff or worrying whether my K31 will extract the smaller rimmed stuff.

I reload the Berdan primed Swiss brass right now but when my Berdan primers are gone that is what I am going to do.   :)
