«

came across a weaver classic 300 rifle scope mounted on a 81 remington rifle with williams rings and mount......scope has duplex cross hair but has no power id on it ......appears to be a 4x or maybe 3x.......Is this an old scope? or a new Scope on an old gun?......The williams rings appear to have come on the scope when sold.........The gun was last made in the 50's

If memory serves me right , those Classics came out sometime in the mid-70 s as an upgrade on the K series . I believe a 300 would be 3x , a 400 4x , etc. If it has a staight tube it is for sure a 3x .
