It's been a while since I have posted but just bought another handi and have a question. I bought a 45-70 and am putting a manlicher forend along with a Nikon Monarch 1.5-4.5x20 on it. I am waiting for the forend and scope rail so I haven't shot it yet but while I am waiting I have been cleaning and polishing the barrel. I polished the chamber by wrapping a patch coated with JB around a stainless bore brush and then chucked it in a drill and ran it for less than a minute. Now it seems that when I put a case in the chamber it seems a little loose. This may and very well could be all in my head but could I have removed any material in the chamber and could this be serious?
