Leupold VX-III the right choice???

Just bought a Leupold VX-III 8.5x25 50mm Long Range Target - Matte Finish - Target Dot for Long range target shooting have never seen one but have been told it is a good scope any one have or used one? Was it a wise buy?

You may will trouble finding the dot in low light, but in good lite you have an excellant set-up.

It's hard to go wrong with a Leupold..........no need to second guess your decision.....as it's a very good scope.

I agree with catfish, I had one, good optics,nice reticle except in low light conditions (when I hunt most) it was next to useless. For hunting in good light or punching paper you would be satisfied.

I bought a Leupold VX-III 3.5x-10x-40mm from Jon at the OpticZone and I am very impressed with the scope.  It is optically better than the older Vari-X III it replaces.

The new VX-IIIs are more expensive in their category, but they are excellent scopes!
