I've picked up what is probably the last 1# container of HS-7 on the planet and I'm looking at the loads on the lable. They are as follows: 1.) 45 Colt, 14.0 gr., 250 gr. JHP, 900 fps, 2.)44 Rem. Mag., 16.5 gr., 240 gr. JHP, 1400 fps., and 3.) 10 mm Auto, 9.3 gr., 200 gr. FMJ, 1100 fps. Now, looking at those powder weights and the bullets they are pushing, does it not seem very excessive that 19.8 gr. of powder would push a 300 gr. JSP in a 454 Casull and do it safely? That last load came off of Handloads.com. If anybody here has experience with HS-7 please speak up and let me know what you think. I've put off making that load untill I get more information.
