Rings and Bases for CZ 452 American
« on: August 17, 2006, 06:30:13 AM »
I already have a CZ 452 American in .17HMR, mounted with a scope (forgot which).  Problem is, the gun is at my brother's house in Virigina (I think).

In any event, can someone remind me what scope bases/rings I need to get?  I'm not sure about the scope that I am going to get, although I know that it will be from Jon at the opticzone (as have all of my last 10 or 12 scopes).  The scope will likely have a 40mm AO objective.

Thanks,
Zachary

B-square adapters and medium Burris Signature Zee rings for the Bushy ELite 4-16x40 on mine. The bolt throw will getcha if you mount too low. There's 3/16" clearance at the AO.

Thanks Tim...that's kinda what I remember my other rings and bases look like.

I just ordered the rings and bases from Midway.  Seemed kinda pricey though.

Thanks again,
Zachary

My 452 came with em.  I don't know what kind they are, but the seemed solid and stout so I used them with a Weaver Grand Slam.  They're a little high for my taste, but that bolt throw is tough to clear.

That's interesting.  When I bought my first CZ, it didn't come with any rings/basis.

If my new CZ comes with mounts, then I'll take a look at them.  If I'm pleased with them, then I can always send back the rings and bases back to Midway.  They are a good company to deal with.
