Ground blinds for groundhogs?
« on: April 19, 2003, 09:51:20 AM »
I've considered using a ground blind for groundhog hunting. Being inside a ground blind would give you the opportunity to draw your bow without being spotted. However, I'm not sure what a wary groundhog's reaction would be to a ground blind.

Has anyone tried this method of hunting for groundhogs? What was your experiences?

Thank you, Bowhunter57

get one shaped like a big round hay bail.   i think cabela's sells them.   i think that would be just fine to the woodchuck, especially if there were big round hay bails in the field;  which in my expereince, there usually is.

THAT sounds like fun!!  Here in Wisconsin, groundhogs are protected, can you believe it?  You have to be an owner or permanent occupant of the land you hunt them on, to kill them. :D
