Looking for a book on Cape Buffalo. Not so much hunting more on what they feed on, what types of habitat they prefer, more on the animal itself. Also is there one that covers buffalo and plains game? What book or books would you recommend? Lawdog

You might try to find African Hunter by James Mellon. It's the most comprehensive book I've seen. I'm not sure if it goes into what the specific animals eat, but he has an area by area listing of all the hunting countries in Africa and a great deal of information about each species. Quite a few good hunting tales in there too.
