I would not buy that weapon--It is a nickel plated weapon and the only thing BBQ about it is the grips.

You're right about that.  I could certainly find better things to spend $40K on.

I guess there are some people that have a bit too much time on their hands; why else would someone do such a thing to a 1911.  Unfortunately, there are also those that have more money than they know what to do with; soooo they'll probably buy such an item.

I went over to Collectors Firearms on Thursday.
You can find them on the web and they have pictures.
Some fine looking weapons and REAL BBQ GUNS, if it interest you.
Found two or three that I liked, made an offer on one, it was rejected.
These boys are proud, but and if, you like too look and drool, this is a good place---keep your head away from the key board lest the slobber short circuits it.
See if you can find the engraved Python---if I was in the market, well, it is purdy (ceptin for the grips).

Exactly where are they located in Houston?  I have seen some of their stuff on Gun Broker, and you're right they are proud.
