Threaded Trunions ?

Hi All, I'm looking for my next cannon got some questions. I want A golfball size bore( I work on A golf course now, free ammo!) I was looking at Canadian Cannon Company's barrels that have threaded trunions. Is there any good- bad comments about this type of method ? Has anyone dealt with Canadian Cannon before ? Any info would be very helpful, thanks.

Bill at canadian cannon has quality barrels, no complaints here!! highly recommend....

As long as you stick with golf balls as the ammo, it is probably strong enough, but if you advance to 1 lb lead shot, I would not be confortable.

I always weld my trunnions.  But I make my barrels from steel also.

Thats what I was wondering about GGaskill, I know a good welder so if I buy the cannon I think I'll have him weld the trunions. Again thanks for the info.

Have Canadian Cannon provide the trunnions welded in place. That way if there is any welding issue with their steel  they have to take care of it.
