Got the new 223 ultra varmint yesterday. Nice looking rifle. Put a Tasco 6-24 x 44 varmint/target scope on it. Should be a sweet shooter. It has an extractor as opposed to a ejector, which my 22 hornet has. This surprised me. I thought they were all ejectors now.
Cleaned and slowly lapped the barrel with JB paste for a couple of hours to smooth it out and then cleaned it again. Will shoot it this week or weekend for sure.

Congrats on the new Ultra. I am sure you will love it.
It's just the opposite, all new models come with Extractors, where as all older production were Ejectors.
Pick up a box of WWB 45gr JHP's and let us know he she shoots for you.

I've had my 223 Utra fro some time and it's my favorite rifle.  It's the rifle I'll never sell or trade.  Hope yours is the same kind of shooter mine is.
