Action sent off
« on: August 30, 2006, 12:30:39 PM »
I sent my extra action off to H & R today.  Last time I sent one off I was in a city and the postal worker gave me the raised eyebrow look.  I never said it was a firearm or firearm parts, but he was suspect of me.  Today in a small town the postmaster smiled and said "What barrel are you getting?"  I like that. He made me promise I'd let him shoot it sometime.

I ordered a .204 ruger bull fluted.  I have a really good looking chunk of walnut that will be on it some day.  I remember our dad making stocks and I think he would appreciate this effort of taking an economical rifle and making it special.   I'll keep you posted.
