I just checked my loading bench and I have 3 "Red Neck" loaders. 2 for pistol and one for rifle. Think I might have another loader around big enough for "Shotgun Reloading"

Are you serious? do you actually use c-clamps for reloading?


I do, but not in the way prescribed above. I mounted my two presses on a length of 2x8 and the c-clamped them to my workbench. When as much room as possible on the work bench, I take the presses off and set them aside. Handier than mounting the presses to the bench itself. I've got the powder measure mounted to the board also.

Well, only when the bullets want to go in sideways or the primer pocket is not reamed right... 

In all truth, I wanted to post this for fun and humor in an often serious and no-nonsense forum.  As far as I know, I've never seen or used c-clamps for reloading cartridges.  I like to help keep the atmosphere light, but not outlandish sometimes.

You boys are joshing are'nt you.  a red neck reloading tool is a hammer and nail. step one, use the nail to punch out the spent primer over a hole or a nut.  step two is put the new primer in place and put the head of the nail down the case and hit the tip with the hammer to drive the case down over the primer.  step 3 is to dip the case in come powder, step 4 is to slip in a bullet and step 5 is to lay the case on it's side and use the nail to punch a dent in the case near the top to hold the bullet in and not let it fall out.  You can always find a nail, even if you have to kick down someone's fence, and a good rock will work as well.  that fancy hardware store stuff you boys put up in pictures is a city boy rig.  Oh how you boys carry on......JB

jbmauser, saw this method done over in Afghanistan by mud hut villagers when the Russians were there.They NEVER heard of weighing the powder charges just dribble in what "LOOKS" right.
